The Road Kill 5000 is a flat and fast 5K thru the residential streets near Johnsburg High School. Along with the 5K is a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Johnsburg High School Track and Cross Country Teams as well as the RoadRunner Racing Team. This event takes place August 15th, 2010.
- MARATHON TRAINING
- Marathon training begins June 6th at 7:00 am. Runners meet at the outdoor pool of HealthBridge Fitness Center, 200 Congress in Crystal Lake. Pace leaders from 8:00 - 10:30 per mile paces guide runners along a preplanned course which includes water stops and great conversation. The run ends back at the outdoor pool where runners can cool off their legs in the pool and enjoy bagels and beverages. Training programs range from the Novice through the Advanced runner and conclude with a fall marathon. Hope to see you there!
